Still trying to forget it

Late night poker, sun rise at Oak Street Beach, getting a free breakfast because the winners would buy. Thanksgiving touch football game that was a tradition till about '85 (got too old and too spread out - around the waist and the country).

The greasy spoon across Halstead - used to walk over after practice and try and be as cool as the brothers.
IBA - played some hoops but it was more about being there.

Basketball - just started reading The Perfect Season in Black and White about Thornridge. No wonder we had it tough. We did get one mention in the first chapter. Beating Proviso East - sometimes the under dogs win. Losing to T'ridge in districts because we missed 9 free throws.
Tennis - kept me on the athletic schedule. For me it was the country club schedule because we'd go play 9 holes in the morning, go to class and then play tennis in the afternoon.

Who could remember; I was too excited to be that close to a pretty girl.
